Diagnosis. Large and densely setose species, with fumose wings (darker at the base). Distinguished from other species of Cuterebra Clark by black setose habitus with slightly raised concave facial carina gently increasing towards antennal base, golden yellow tuft on posterior anepisternum, and abdominal tergites 3–5 golden yellow setose.
