Notes:— Benstonea rostellata is here circumscribed to include Pandanus inokumae and P. pentagonos as suggested by Stone (1978). This species can be recognized by its sub-elliptic syncarp disposed on a long peduncle and its pyramidal attenuate pileus ending into a linear stigma ( Fig. 2C View FIGURE 2 ). Several collections represent immature fruits with a much shorter peduncle. More field-work and collections are required to further assess species delimitation within this taxon.
