Remarks. This was one of the first three stonefly species described from Brazil by Burmeister (1839), the other two being Perla polita and P. dilaticollis , now in placed in Anacroneuria ( Froehlich 2010) . Tupiperla gracilis is known from the states of Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo and is locally common.
