Diagnosis

Bright reddish brown; elytra with marmoreal macula; frons deeply triangularly depressed, frons 1.6 times wider than eye; antenna weakly serrated in female, 3rd antennomere with its flabellum 6 times longer than itself in male, extending to apical of 6th antennomere; pronotum trapezoid, narrower than elytra, shinny, medial-longitudinal sulcus distinct and punctures fine, coarser anteriorly; hind angles acute, divergent; scutellar shield broad rounded, emarginate anterior-medially, curved inwards laterally; elytra wider than thorax, parallel-sided at basal half, gradually narrowing from middle, punctures fine and shallow between striae, denser in striae; prosternum distinctly broader posteriorly; metacoxal plate with mesal parts strongly narrowed to lateral part. Similar to P. cantori , but differs from it by: body lighter, bright reddish brown; pronotum more shinny and less pubescent; flabellum of 3rd antennomere longer, extending to apical of 6th antennomere, it is shorter, only extending to apical of 5th antennomere in P. cantori ; prothorax not narrower than P. cantori ; elytra more obviously striate, interstriae with smaller and numerous punctures; and eyes more pronounced.
