Remarks. Watson (1882) assigned this species to genus Fusus Larmarck, 1799 in family Muricidae Fleming, 1828 . The genus was subsequently placed in Turridae by some taxonomists ( Habe, 1964; Powell, 1969). Watson (1882) did not provide illustrations of the holotype although gave a full description of this species. Our specimens agree with the original description of Watson (1882).
