Type species.

Hierodula membranacea Burmeister, 1838

Diagnosis.

Pronotum clavate. Furcasternite in Korean specimens with spotted pattern or reddish coloration. Forewing stigma triangular, whitish to yellow. Hindwing transparent (Fig. 115 View Figures 115–120 ). Male subgenital plate margin with numerous black spines. Male genitalia: afa hook- or boat-shaped; maa well developed.
