Vertex beige, eyes dark brown. Pronotum yellowish-brown, scutum yellowish, scutellum dark brown, pale yellowish at scutoscutellar sulcus. Fore wing and hind wing pale infuscate and semitransparent, wing venation deep infuscate.

Male genitalia. Abdominal apodemes ( Fig. 55 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) reaching 4th abdominal sternite. Pygofer side ( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) broad and sclerotized, provided with a big quadrilateral extension ( Fig. 57 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) with some teeth and setae. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) small, much shorter than pygofer side, provided few microsetae at process. Connective ( Fig. 59 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) Vshaped. Paramere ( Figs. 60, 61 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) with apex curved laterad. Penis ( Fig. 62 View FIGURES 55 – 62 ) dorsal apodeme with developed membrane, penis stem thin and long, curved dorsad, gonopore apical.

Measurements. Male 3.90–4.00 mm (including wing).

Material examined. Holotype: male, Mengla Yaoqu, Yunnan Prov., 800m, 1 Jun. 2009, coll. Cui Wei; Paratypes: 2 males, Mengla Yaoqu, Yunnan Prov., 800m, 28 May. 2009, coll. Cui Wei; 3 males, Mengla Yaoqu, Yunnan Prov., 1300m, 1 Jun. 2009, coll. Cui Wei; 1 male, Mengla Yaoqu, Yunnan Prov., 800m, 2 Jun. 2009, coll. Cui Wei; 2 males, Mengla Yaoqu, Yunnan Prov., 800m, 3 Jun. 2009, coll. Cui Wei.

Remarks. This species differs from all others in this genus by the quadrilateral extension of its pygofer side.

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ quadrilatera ” referring to the shape of the pygofer side extension.
