Gender. Feminine.

Type species. Lomachaeta hicksi Mickel, 1936 (male, female; holotype male), by original designation. Taxonomic history. Senior subjective synonym of Smicromutilla Mickel, 1964 . Valid generic name.

Sex association. The type species was described from both sexes by Mickel, 1936: 289.

Distribution. Nearctic, Neotropical.
