Notes:—While describing Impatiens verticillata, Wight (1837) mentioned only precise locality ‘Shevagerry’ in the protologue. Pertaining to the specification given in the protologue, five specimens of I. verticillata collected by Wight were traced (K000694952, K000694953, M0211740, P04538760 and P04538761). Of these, the better preserved specimen K000694953, is designated here as the lectotype as it agrees well with the protologue and also in having drawing of floral parts on the sheet by younger Hooker.
