Notes:— Wight & Arnott (1834) described Impatiens pendula based on the collections of Wallich cat. n. 4744 and 4745 (partly). Pertaining to the type specification provided in protologue, four specimens were traced (CAL, K000694986, K001039807 and K001039794, p.p.). Of these, the best preserved specimen, K001039807, is designated here as the lectotype as it agrees well with the protologue and also in having dissected flower parts pasted on the sheet by J.D. Hooker. The K001039794 herbarium sheet is a mixed collection, the right side plant specimen of upper half and left side of lower half marked as ‘a’ is labelled I. pendula of Herb. Heyne, whereas the left side plant specimen of upper half and right side of lower half belongs to I. scabriuscula of Herb. Heyne.
