Distribution. Western Atlantic – Antilles and Brazil (from Pará to Rio Grande do Sul) ( Melo 1996). Ecological notes. On sand, mud, and shell bottoms. Shallow waters to 180 m ( Melo 1996). Previous records in Bahia. Gomes Corrêa (1972), Barreto et al. (1993).
