Distribution. Western Atlantic – North Carolina, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil (from Amapá to Rio de Janeiro) ( Melo 1996).
Ecological notes. On mud, sand, gravel, and stone bottoms. From shallow waters to 80 m ( Melo 1996).
