Remarks. Apel (2001) mentioned that all records of the genus Phymodius from the Persian Gulf belong to P. drachi . The present specimens from the Iranian coast confirm the occurrence of the species in the Persian Gulf. Phymodius drachi has already been recorded from the Gulf of Oman by Hogarth (1989) and Apel (2001).
