Persian Gulf. Kuwait (Jones 1906a), Saudi Arabia ( Apel 2001), UAE [ Nobili (1906a) as Pachycheles sculptus, Titgen (1982) , Hornby (1997), Apel (2001)], Iran ( Haig 1966; present study).

Iran. Hormozgan Province: Qeshm I. (Zeytun Park Beach, Basaeedu).

General distribution. Western Indian Ocean: South Africa, East Africa, Madagascar, Somalia, Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Socotra, southern Oman (Dhofar), Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Pakistan, South India.

Habitat. Rocky/cobble intertidal.

Remarks. Pachycheles natalensis has frequently been recorded from the Persian Gulf and adjacent waters, and is a taxonomically well known species of the genus. Nobili (1906a) has recorded this species as Pachycheles sculptus .
