Remarks. In his comprehensive revision of the genus Periclimenes Costa, 1884 , Bruce (2004) introduced the genus Kemponia and moved 24 species previously placed in Periclimenes to this new genus. Okuno (2009) noted that the genus Cuapetes Clark, 1919 , is a senior synonym of Kemponia Bruce, 2004 , and must be used instead. The detailed description and illustrations of the species have been provided by Kemp (1922), Holthuis (1952) and Bruce (1976).
