Diagnosis. The genus is quite close to Elydnodes . Head, antennae and labial palps similar to Elydnodes . Externally it differs by rounded outer margin of the forewing, brownish or greyish color of the forewing and more developed forewing pattern, with more smoothed, not strongly angled antemedial and postmedial lines and typical shape of orbicular and reniform. Hindwing bright, yellow, with distinct dark greyish terminal band. Coremata absent. Male genitalia similar to those of Elydnodes , but valva somewhat broader, in A. catocalina with small apical spur; harpe moderate or relatively large, directed transversally, heavily sclerotised, apex of valva pointed, cucullus without corona. Aedeagus short, or moderate, vesica tubular, with large diverticulum in basal half or without diverticula, but with sclerotised patch of small plate-like cornuti. In female genitalia papillae anales short, quadrangular; apophyses anteriores and posteriores ones relatively short, apophyses anterior 1.5–2 times longer than longer than posterior ones; antrum small or moderate, ductus bursae moderate, folded; corpus bursae elongate, with small appendix bursae. The genus includes two species, distributed in the Oriental region.
