Type host. Gallus gallus domesticus Linnaeus (experimental) (Aves: Phasianidae ).
Site of infection. Distal region of caeca.
Type locality. Argentina, Neuquén Province, Lago Lacar (40º10ʹS, 71º33ʹW).
Paratypes: MLP 4925, MLP 4926 (4 specimens).
Remarks. Holotype, 6 paratype and a slide of rediae deposited in the Colección Nacional de Parasitología (MACN-Pa) in the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales Bernardino Rivadavia, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Paratypes (28) and slides of redia deposited in the Colección Parasitológica del Centro Regional Universitario Bariloche, Universidad Nacional del Comahue, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina. Paratypes (6) and a slide of rediae deposited in the Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa, New Zealand. Paratypes (8) and a slide with rediae, deposited in the BMNH Collection of The Natural History Museum, London, UK.
