Type host. Paralichthys brasiliensis (Ranzani) (Pisces: Paralichthyidae ).
Site of infection. Intestine.
Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Albúfera de Mar Chiquita.
Holotype: MLP 6424 (cited as MLP P12).
Remarks. This species was transferred to the genus Bacciger Nicoll, 1924 as B. microacetabularis ( Suriano & Martorelli, 1983) by Alarcos et al. (2008).
