Type host. Oxymycterus rufus (Fischer) (Mammalia: Muridae ).
Site of infection. Thoracic and abdominal cavity.
Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Punta Lara (34º47ʹS, 58º01ʹW).
Paratypes: MLP 4611 (16 specimens).
Remarks. Holotype, allotype, and 2 paratypes deposited in the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris, France.
