Type host. Dolichotis patagonum (Zimmermann) (Mammalia: Caviidae ).
Site of infection. Cecum.
Type locality. Argentina, Mendoza Province, Cerro del Guadal (cited as Meseta del Guadal) (36º54’S, 68º54’W).
Holotype: 3 MLP 1320/1. Paratype: MLP 1320/2 (allotype Ƥ).
Remarks. Other material in the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle, Paris, France (not mentioned as paratypes in the original description).
