Type host. Umbrina canosai Berg (Pisces: Sciaenidae ).

Site of infection. Posterior end of intestine.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Mar del Plata, (38°08´S, 57°32´W).

Holotype: 3 MLP 5887. Paratypes: MLP 5888 (allotype Ƥ), MLP 5889 (533, 5ƤƤ from U. canosai ), MLP 5890 [533, 5ƤƤ from Micropogonias furnieri (Desmarest) ].

Remarks. Paratypes (533, 2ƤƤ) [from U. canosai ] in the Helminthological Collection of the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Brazil.
