Type host. Oryzomys flavescens (Waterhouse) (Mammalia: Cricetidae ). Site of infection. Small intestine.
Type locality. Uruguay, Artigas Department, Calnú, Colonia España (34° 23' 60''S, 57° 10'W). Holotype: 3 MLP 2046/1. Paratypes: MLP 2046/2 (allotype Ƥ), MLP 2046/3 (233, 3ƤƤ) (cited as MLP
2046aC).
