( Figs 4–6)
Type material. Holotype male, BRAZIL, SP, São Carlos , Fazenda Canchim, Córrego do Canchim, 21°54´S, 47°52´W, artificial substrate, iv.2009, G. Nunes GoogleMaps . Paratypes: allotype female with pupal and larval exuviae ( UFSCAR SW 133 ), São Carlos , UFSCar, Córrego do Espraiado, 21°58.112´S, 47°52.265´W, 19.viii.2011, artificial substrate, S. Wiedenbrug; one pharate male with pupal exuviae; one female with pupal and larval exuviae same data as allotype; one male with pupal and larval exuviae same date as allotype but 25.iv.2012, L. Rossi; four pupal exuviae same data as holotype but 19.v.2011, S. Wiedenbrug GoogleMaps .
Diagnostic characters. The male of Corynoneura canchim can be differentiated from other species with phallapodeme attachment placed in the caudal apex of the sternapodeme, phallapodeme sclerotized on posterior margin and apex of hind tibia with a s-shaped seta, by the antenna plumose with 8 flagellomeres, tergite X apparent, superior volsella low without long setae, inferior volsella low and broad, gonostylus curved. The female of C. canchim is characterized by the seminal capsules 32–37 µm long, both similarly sclerotized; copulatory bursa semi-circled, orally median invaginated. The pupa has rounded anal lobe, tergites with homogeneous shagreen and sternite II with long and colourless spinules. The larva has long antennae with the first segment longer than the postmentum length, mentum with two median teeth and head integument with dorsolateral sclerotized fold.
Etymology. The specific epithet is named after the type locality and is treated as a noun in apposition.
Description
Male (n = 3)
Total length 1.00– 1.32 mm. Wing length 0.54–0.56 mm.
Color. Thorax brownish. Abdominal tergites I–IV whitish, other tergites and genitalia brownish. Legs whitish.
Head. AR = 0.70–0.76. Antenna with 8 flagellomeres, apical flagellomere 120–150 µm ( Fig. 4 A). Flagellomeres with more than one row of seta each. Eyes pubescent.
Thorax. Antepronotal lobes dorsally tapering.
Wing. Clavus/wing length 0.21. Anal lobe absent.
Legs. Hind tibial scale 35–37 µm long, with one small s-seta.
Hypopygium ( Figs 4 B–C). Tergite X exposed beyond tergite IX. Tergite IX with 4 setae. Laterosternite IX with 1 seta. Superior volsella low without long setae. Inferior volsella broad, low and rounded. Aedeagal lobe small. Transverse sternapodeme rounded. Phallapodeme with posterior margin sclerotized, rounded, attached in the caudal apex of the sternapodeme.
Metric and meristic features in Table 1.
Female (n = 1–2)
Total length 0.95 mm. Wing length 0.57 mm.
Color. Thorax brownish. Abdominal tergites I-III whitish, other tergites and genitalia brownish. Legs whitish.
Head. AR = 0.48–0.49. Antenna with 5 flagellomeres, apical flagellomere 50–53 µm long ( Fig. 5 A). Flagellomeres with more than one row of setae each. Eyes pubescent.
Thorax. Antepronotal lobes dorsally tapering.
Wing. Clavus/wing length 0.41. Anal lobe absent.
Legs. Hind tibial scale 30–37 µm long, with one small s-seta.
Genitalia ( Figs 5 B–D). Tergite IX with 2 setae. Laterosternite IX with 1 seta. Two seminal capsules respectively 32 µm and 37 µm long; one spermathecal duct with a loop, second shorter and straighter, both ducts join together shortly before seminal eminence, which has sclerotized outer borders. Notum 45 µm long. Apodeme lobe well sclerotized, apically pointed. Coxosternapodeme, strongly curved, with one end at roof of copulatory bursa, last semicircle-shaped, orally median invaginated. Labia membranous, bare, funnel shaped, apically building the accessory gonopore(?). Gonocoxapodeme straight, gonapophyses median smoothly pointed. Postgenital plate rounded with few microtrichia. Cercus 20–27 µm long.
Metric and meristic features in Table 2.
Pupa (n = 3–4)

Color (exuviae). Cephalothorax light brown, abdomen transparent except brownish muscle markings, lateral margin and anal lobe.
Cephalothorax. Frontal apotome rugose. Thorax suture smooth. All Dc-setae thin taeniate. Dc 1 displaced ventrally. Wing sheaths with two rows of pearls.
Abdomen ( Figs 6 A–C). Tergite I almost bare, tergite II with few small shagreen points, shagreen on tergites III-IX quite homogeneous, on tergite III-VI posterior points slightly larger, on III-V posterolateral points slightly larger than posteromedian.
