Description. FEMALE: (n = 3) Body fusiform, 200 (170–200), 50 (50–51) wide, 43 (42–43) thick; light yellow. Gnathosoma 25 (25–26), projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 3 (3–4), dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 8 (7–8), cheliceral stylets 18 (18–20). Prodorsal shield 44 (44–45), 55 (55–56) wide; anterior shield lobe broad and depressed anteriorly; median line absent, admedian lines parallel and concave anteriorly and posteriorly, submedian lines incomplete. Scapular tubercles ahead of rear shield margin, 18 (17–18) apart, scapular setae (sc) 15 (13–15), projecting up from the axis of body. Coxal plates smooth, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 8 (7–8), 10 (10–11) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 13 (13–14), 9 (9–10) apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 35 (32–36), 22 (22–23) apart. Prosternal apodeme 7 (6–7). Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 30 (28–32), femur 8 (7–8), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 11 (10–11); genu 4 (4–5), antaxial genual seta (l'') 22 (22–23); tibia 5 (5–6), paraxial tibial seta (l') 8 (7–8), located at center from proximal tibial margin; tarsus 5 (4–5), seta ft' 18 (17–18), seta ft'' 21 (20–21), seta u' 4 (3–4); tarsal empodium (em) 5 (5–6), simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 7 (6–7), slightly knobbed. Leg І 26 (26–28), femur 7 (6– 7), basiventral femoral seta (bv) 8 (7–8); genu 3 (3–4), antaxial genual seta (l'') 7 (6–7); tibia 3 (3–4); tarsus 4 (4–5), seta ft' 6 (5–6), seta ft'' 21 (20–21), seta u' 3 (3–4); tarsal empodium (em) 5 (5–6), simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 7 (6–7), slightly knobbed. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 49 (45–50) annuli, first 4 annuli forming a short ridge, which divides into two large ridges, a narrow furrow present at the center, ridges and furrow ends in a depression before setae f, filament microtubercles present on the narrow furrow, the 5 th dorsal annulus from rear broad and projected from the body, ventrally with 67 (67–71) annuli, with round microtubercles. Setae c2 20 (18–22) on ventral annulus 7 (7–8), 41 (40–41) apart; setae d 56 (56–61) on ventral annulus 19 (19–20), 28 (27–28) apart; setae e 8 (7–8) on ventral annulus 35 (35–38), 14 (14–15) apart; setae f 8 (7–8) on 6th ventral annulus from rear, 12 (12–13) apart. Setae h1 2 (2–3), h2 35 (34–38). Female genitalia 13 (13–14), 20 (20–21) wide, coverflap with two rows of ridges, the upper row with 16 longitudinal ridges and the lower row with 16 longitudinal ridges, setae 3a 11 (11–12), 12 (12–13) apart.
MALE: (n = 1) Body fusiform, 146, 42 wide; light yellow. Gnathosoma 22, projecting obliquely down, pedipalp coxal seta (ep) 3, dorsal pedipalp genual seta (d) 6, cheliceral stylets 17. Prodorsal shield 36, 38 wide; anterior shield lobe broad and depressed anteriorly. Scapular tubercles near rear shield margin, 17 apart, scapular setae (sc) 13, projecting up from the axis of body. Coxal plates smooth, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 5, 9 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 12, 7 apart, proximal setae on coxisternum І (2a) 30, 20 apart. Prosternal apodeme 6. Legs with usual series of setae. Leg І 25, femur 5, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 8; genu 4, antaxial genual seta (l'') 17; tibia 5, paraxial tibial seta (l') 6, located at center from proximal tibial margin; tarsus 4, seta ft' 16, seta ft'' 18, seta u' 3; tarsal empodium (em) 4, simple, 4-rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 6, slightly knobbed. Leg І 19 (26–28), femur 5, basiventral femoral seta (bv) 6; genu 3, antaxial genual seta (l'') 4; tibia 3; tarsus 4, seta ft' 4, seta ft'' 16, seta u' 3; tarsal empodium (em) 4, simple, 4- rayed, tarsal solenidion (ω) 6, slightly knobbed. Opisthosoma: opisthosoma dorsally with 40 annuli, ventrally with 58 annuli, with round microtubercles. Setae c2 13 on ventral annulus 7, 33 apart; setae d 43 on ventral annulus 16, 22 apart; setae e 6 on ventral annulus 31, 11 apart; setae f 9 on 6th ventral annulus from rear, 8 apart. Setae h1 2, h2 38. Male genitalia 13 wide, setae 3a 14, 14 apart.
Type material. Holotype, female (slide number NJAUAcariEriW100, marked Holotype), from Quercus sp. (Fagaceae) , The Tiantangzhai National Forest Park, Jinzhai County, Anhui Province, P. R. China, 31°09'57" N, 115°45'57" E, elevation 587m, 10 September 2008, coll. Zi-Wei Song and Zhen Wang.
Relation to host. Erineum.
Etymology. The specific designation tiantangzhaica is from the name of the location, Tiantangzhai, where the species was collected.
