Mutilla divisa Smith 1855: 11 , nom. nov. pro interrupta Olivier 1811 . Synonymized with floralis by Nonveiller & Petersen 1995: 184.

Form with red head and mesosoma (f. moslemita Bischoff). Yemen: 12 km NW Manakhah, 3.VII–21.VIII.2001, MT, AvH, 14 ɗ [ RMNH, IBSS]; Al Lahima, I–IV.2001, MT, AvH & A.M. Hajer, 1 ɗ [ ZMAN]; Sanaa, 5.XI.1931, 1 ɗ, Zhenzhurist (N. Filippov) [ ZMMU]. Form with black head and mesosoma (f. klugiana André). Yemen, Al Kowd, IV.1993, MT, AvH, 1 ɗ [ ZMAN].

Yemen, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Chad, Cameroon, Nigeria, Mali, Senegal, Sudan, Egypt, Libya, Algeria ( Nonveiller & Petersen 1995).
