Distribution
It is a widespread species in the countries bordering the Mediterranean, especially in the western Mediterranean. In Portugal, it has been reported for several localities north of Lisbon and Coimbra ( de Biurrun et al. 2019). This is the first record for the District of Beja. It is also known from Morocco and Algeria. It is a medium-sized spider that lives a lapidiform life, which probably makes it difficult to capture and is probably more frequent in Castro Verde than suggested by the data.
