Type data: Fox (1899) described this species based on three females collected in Texas, southern United States. Two of these specimens were found at ANSP and both have an original Fox’s identification label. The one in better condition is here designated as the lectotype. The specimen has the following data label ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 23–26 ): Tex. [printed]\ Centris subhyalina Fox [handwritten]\ [light blue label] Lectotype Centris subhyalina Fox, 1899 des. F. Vivallo, 2017 [printed]. Paralectotype female with the following data label: Tex. [printed]\ [red label] type [printed] should be 3 specimens [handwritten with blue ink]\ [light blue label] Paralectotype Centris subhyalina Fox, 1899 des. F. Vivallo, 2017 [printed]. The current condition and depository of the additional paralectotype is unknown.
