Distribution. Tomato ( Solanaceae ); ( ICIPE 2004).

Remarks. An important pest of tomato, this species is thought to be of American origin. It was introduced into southern Africa in the 1970s and first recorded in Zambia in about 1985 ( ICIPE 2004).
