Remarks — The sequence obtained from a single specimen from Georgia morphologically assigned to L. porosa falls into BIN ( BOLD: AEZ 7614) which, in addition to specimen used in this study for molecular analysis, includes also two specimens from western Türkiye. The p -distance between the latter BIN and its nearest neighbour, BOLD:ACS0974, which includes 152 specimens morphologically assigned to L. porosa from United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Greece, and Türkiye, is estimated at 4.4%.
Habitat in Georgia — Eutrophic lake with silty bottom and dense aquatic vegetation.
