Remarks — The sequenced specimen from Georgia forms a unique BIN ( BOLD: AEO 2572) with the nearest neighboring BIN being BOLD:AEC3095 (p -distance 2.75%), which includes specimens of P. barbigera from Norway and Romania.
Habitat in Georgia — Temporary vernal pool with cold water and absence of aquatic vegetation; heavily used by sheep and cattle (Fig, 2A).
