Comments. The wings of this species show developed costal and anal areas, and the radial fork is situated closer to the medial fork. These two characteristics are typical of the species of Brunettia and, therefore, this species is not a species of Atrichobrunettia as proposed by Wagner (1993). This species can be differentiated from the other species of Brunettia by the apex of Sc curved hooklike, R1 with sinuous base, eyes contiguous, and the apex of the aedeagus not reaching the posterior margin of the posthypandrial plate. Specimens of this species were not studied, but the original description and the original figures of Wagner (1993) are sufficient for their identification.
