Distribution and Habitat ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ): — Senecio keshua occurs in mountains of NO de Argentina and N of Chile, in wet areas at elevations of 3200–4500 m.

Note: — Senecio zoellneri is characterized in the protologue by phyllaries in 3–4 series and developed bracts of the calyculus. Here we propose to treat S. zoellneri as a synonym of S. keshua because we could not find any character to differentiate both species.
