Type (lectotype, designated here):— ITALY. Tirolia australis: in declivibus collium ad oppidum Riva, Mai–Jun 1885, Porta s.n. ex Herb. H. Braun (W-Ronniger 1996-0012770! left-had specimen; image of the lectotype is available at http://herbarium.univie.ac.at/database/detail.php? ID =499203) .
Protologue citation:—“In declivibus apricis collium ad oppidum Riva ( Porta Hb. H Braun )”.
Taxonomic notes:—Following online databases (Euro+Med 2006 onwards, The Plant List 2013 onwards), Th. collivagus is considered as synonym of Th. odoratissimus Miller (1768 : n° 9) (type BM barcode BM 000895888!, see Ronniger 1932: 149). In contrast to this taxonomic concept, we include Th. collivagus within Th. oenipontanus Heinr. Braun ex Borbás.
