TYPE SPECIES: Antilope mergens Desmarest, 1816 (= Capra grimmia Linnaeus, 1758 ).

SYNONYMS: Cephalophora, Grimmia.

COMMENTS: Included in Cephalophus by Haltenorth (1963:71) and Van Gelder (19776:18); but see Ansell (1978:57), Swanepool et al. (1980:188), and Meester et al. (1986).
