TYPE LOCALITY: Russia, Amurland, Bureja Mtns .
DISTRIBUTION: Soviet Far East ( Russia), E China, E Burma, W Thailand.
SYNONYMS: aldridgeanus, arnouxianus, cinerea , curvicornis, evansi, fantozatianus; fargesianus Heude, 1894; galeanus, griseus , henryanus, initialis, iodinus, niger , pinchonianus, raddeanus, versicolor ; vidianus Heude, 1894; xanthodeiros.
COMMENTS: Regarded as a species distinct from N. goral by Groves and Grubb (1985).
