TYPE LOCALITY: India, Nilgiri Hills .

DISTRIBUTION: SW and S India.

STATUS: IUCN - Vulnerable.

SYNONYMS: warryato.

COMMENTS: Included in jemlahicus by Haltenorth (1963:125) but generally regarded as a full species, for example by Corbet and Hill (1991).
