Lectotype (Cilliers in Bothalia 23: 176. 1993): Herb. Linn. No. 992.2 ( LINN) .

Current name: Brachylaena neriifolia (L.) R. Br. View in CoL ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although Phillips & Schweickerdt (in Bothalia 3: 209. 1937) noted that both the LINN and a Herb. Clifford sheet were sterile, they did not choose either as sole type.
