Description. Body length 1.39 mm, excluding antennae (Holotype). Ground colour very light blue, with pigment on lateral body and as characteristic, a narrow stripe on posterior tergites but narrowing towards lateral; head with central area paler; legs homogenously paler; antennae darker from middle Ant II to tip ( Figs 3A View FIGURE 3 , 4K View FIGURE 4 ).
Head. Eight eyes, GH smaller than EF. Antennae length 0.73 mm, 2.35 times the length of the head; Ant IV with apical vesicle bilobed; relative length of Ant I/II/III/IV = 1/1.82/1.64/2.18. Prelabral chaetae ciliated. Labral papillae smooth ( Fig. 13E View FIGURE 13 ). Lateral process of labial papilla E reaching the papilla end.
Body. Length ratio of Abd IV/III = 4.11. Trochanteral organ with nine chaetae. Tibiotarsus not sub-segmented, without smooth chaetae, except for smooth terminal chaeta on legs III. Claw with four teeth: paired at 50% and first unpaired at 65% from basis; dorsal teeth basal reaching at a position near the basis of lateral teeth ( Fig. 13F View FIGURE 13 ). Empodium lanceolate, with serrated external lamella on its last third in leg III. Tenent hair clavate. Length of manubrium and dens 0.26 and 0.34 mm, respectively. Manubrial plate with four chaetae and two pseudopores. Mucro with subapical teeth small than apical one, mucronal spine reaching tip of subapical tooth ( Fig. 13G View FIGURE 13 ).
Macrochaetotaxy ( Figs 13A–D View FIGURE 13 ). Simplified Mc formula: 3-1-0-3-2/2-4/2-3/1-2-1/0-0-3-2-2. Head: three Mc An on H1 area (An2, An3a1 and An3), one Mc (A5) present on area H2; three Mc on Area H4 (S1, S3 and S4) and with Ps2 and Ps5 on Area H5. Mesothorax: area T1 with two Mc (m1 and m 2i); T2 with four Mc (m4, m 4i, a5 and m5). Abdomen: Abd II area A1 with two Mc (a2 and a3), area A2 with three Mc (m3, m3ep and m3e); Abd III with one Mc each on areas A3 (a1) and A5 (m3e) and two Mc on A4 (a2 and a3); Abd IV with three Mc on A8 (A4, B4 and C2a) and two Mc on A9 (A5 and B5) and A10 (A6 and B6).
Ecology. Found only near the sea, over vegetation on cliffs.
Etymology. Guayermina was the name of a Guanche princess.
Remarks. If the macrochaetotaxy of Th II and Abd II–III is considered simultaneously, only species from the Canary Islands, described in this paper, share this macrochaeta formula for these three tergites. In addition to differing in colour, they differ in the following characters ( Table 1): E. grimanesae sp. nov. differs by the spinulate labral papilla, external empodium smooth, A7 area on Abd IV with two Mc, ratio Abd IV/III <4 and normal mucro subapical tooth; nine characters separate both species from E. achuteygai sp. nov. and six attributes separate them from E. cf. quinquelineata .
