This species has a cosmopolitan distribution and numerous cells were found in cold season. This species is easily distinguished within the genus by its considerably large scales and several types of wings partly surrounding scale apexes such as those ornamented with closely spaced cross ribs and few dots; with rudimentary ribs and few dots; and only with few scattered dots or of smooth type. The bristles are short, slightly curved and serrated with 3-4 teeth ( Fig. 4 View Figs , arrow).
