Distribution: INDIA:Arunachal Pradesh-Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, West Siang, East Kameng, Papumpare, East Siang, Lohit, Tirap; Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkin, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh. Elsewhere: Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Indonesia, Mayasia, Thailand.

Habit and Habitat: Freshwater. Inhabits fast flowing streams in high gradient and low gradient riffles and pools.
