M a t e r i a l: 1 spine, collection number FZP/P/12/2- 3/021.

D e s c r i p t i o n: The spine is cylindrical with smooth shaft and well-defined milled ring.

R e m a r k s: Similar spines were found in situ e.g. in Phymosoma koenigii ( MANTELL, 1822) from the Santonian of England ( Smith and Wright 1996). The stratigraphic range of the genus is Upper Jurassic-Palaeocene.
