This species is characterized by the largely pale body ( Fig. 108 View FIGURES 102 – 109 ), including legs, with a dark median area on abdominal tergites III–VI ( Fig. 109 View FIGURES 102 – 109 ). Males have antennal segments I–IV yellow and transverse pore plates on abdominal sternites VII–VIII.
Material examined. Holotype female, Brazil, Santa Catarina, Nova Teutônia, 04.ii.1949, on Luehea sp. and dry undetermined branches (F. Plaumann) ( USNM). Paratypes: 2 females, 1 male, collected with holotype ( USNM).
