Further material see Eusemann & Jäger (submitted). The species was subject of a taxonomic revision ( Eusemann 2006). It seems to be the most abundant huntsman spider species in Laos besides H. venatoria (Linnaeus 1767) . It occurs in natural as well as in disturbed habitats close to human settlings. In contrast to H. venatoria , it was not recorded from houses yet.
