Diagnosis. The males of the species belonging to this group can be recognized by their broad and almost straight embolus in combination with claw-like or triangular paleal outgrowth and spine-like terminal apophysis. The females of the species belonging to the azyuzini -group can be diagnosed by a diamond-shaped epigynal fovea and a pentagonal septum.
Composition. This group includes eight species: A. altaiensis Marusik, Azarkina & Koponen, 2004 (Altai Mountains), A. azyuzini Marusik, Hippa & Koponen, 1996 (Altai Mountains), A. katunensis Marusik, Azarkina & Koponen, 2004 (Altai Mountains), A. kronestedti Fomichev & Marusik, 2018 (Mongolian Altai), A. sayanensis Marusik,Azarkina&Koponen,2004 (Western Sayan Mountains), A.sidorovi sp. n. (Altai Mountains), A.tarbagataica Marusik & Logunov, 2011 (Tarbagatai Mt. Range), A. vahterae Fomichev & Marusik, 2018 (Mongolian Altai).
