Type Locality: Guyana, Essequibo Prov., Potaro road, 24 mi. (39 km) from Bartica.
Vernacular Names: Graybeard Bat.
Distribution: Honduras south to Peru, the Guianas, Brazil, and Bolivia; Trinidad.
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt) as Micronycteris daviesi .
Discussion: Formerly included in the monotypic genus Barticonycteris ; see Koopman (1978 b) and Simmons (1996). Reviewed by Pine et al. (1996).
