Etymology. Named after Jimmy Page, artistic name of James Patrick Page, guitarist and founder of the band Led Zeppelin, considered one of the most influential guitarists in the world, inspiring not only musicians but we both authors during scientific discussions.
Type locality. Rio de Janeiro state coast (23°53’S, 42°28’W).
Remarks. Pseudharpinia pagei sp. nov. presents some resemblance to the Brazilian species P. berardo due to the following characters: antenna 1 peduncle article 3 short, primary flagellum article 1 stout; maxilla 1 inner plate with 4 plumose setae; gnathopod 1 palm sinuous; gnathopods 1–2 carpus short and almost cryptic; pereopod 7 basis wider than long, anteroventral corner with a row of plumose setae. However, the new species can be distinguished from P. berardo by the following characters (characters of P. berardo in parentheses): head with ventrolateral line present (absent); mandible incisors with 3 or 5 teeth (2 or 3), molar with 4 pectinate setae (2 setae); gnathopods 1–2 palmar hump distinct and slightly serrate (smooth); pereopod 6 basis facial margin with a vertical row of setules (without); pereopod 7 basis expanded posteroventrally almost reaching the apex of merus (reaching half of ischium), ischium distofacial lobe well developed (poorly developed); epimeral plate 3 posteroventral corner produced into a medium hook (produced into a larger hook), posterior margin covered with setules (without setules); telson with 1 stout seta on each lobe (2 setae), dorsolateral margins with 1 plumose seta (2 setae, being 1 plumose).
Geographic distribution. The species is known only from the type locality, Rio de Janeiro state coast ( Fig 24 View FIGURE 24 ).
