Diagnosis. Leptocheliids with five-articled antennule in adult females (four longer segments plus minute distal flagellar segment); distal spines on maxilliped endite pointed. Otherwise as Leptocheliinae . (Males unknown).
Type (and only) genus: Catenarius Bamber, 2008 View in CoL
Catenarius View in CoL , with its two-segmented antennular flagellum and pointed distal spines on the maxilliped endite, is considered to be a plesiomorphic taxon ( Bamber, 2008), and thus not a member of the Leptocheliinae View in CoL .
