Holotype, female, pinned:

Specimen data: “Palmiste June ’ 15 ” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “Lamont Collection 1950 - 16 ” [Printed] with label with “ TYPE ” [Handwritten in red ink] glued to it. “ Syngria delicata Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label].

Remarks: This Lamont specimen taken at Palmiste, Trinidad in June 1915, is unambiguously the holotype. It is illustrated in colour in Pl. I: fig. 7 ( Kaye 1922, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
