Junior subjective synonym of Bucculatrix humiliell a Herrich - Schäffer, 1855 (see Bradley 2000).

Holotype, male, pinned (abdomen on Genitalia slide M.1482/ L.0076): also allotype Ƥ, pinned.

E.C.Pelham-Clinton” [Handwritten]. “ RSM 1967.12” [Typewritten].

Remarks: The holotype and allotype were collected by G. E. Woodroffe. A 3 paratype from Forres, Morayshire is in BM(NH). Black and white photographs of the holotype 3, paratype 3, and allotype Ƥ are shown in Pl. 6, figs. 1–3 and drawings of 3 (paratype) and Ƥ (allotype) genitalia in figs. 1–3 ( Pelham-Clinton 1967). The species is named in honour of Robin Mere whose lepidoptera collection is in the National Museums of Scotland.
