Junior subjective synonym of Perola subpunctata (Walker, 1855) (see Becker & Epstein 1995).

Specimen data: “Guaico | 18 Ap.’15” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “ Type ” [Handwritten]. “ Type [Typewritten in red, large font]. Lamont | 1950-16 [Handwritten in black ink]” on verso “ Sisyrosea | guaica Kaye ” [Handwritten in black ink]. “ Sisyrosea guaica Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label].

Remarks: This specimen collected by Sir N. Lamont at Guaico, Trinidad on 18th April 1915 is clearly the holotype although in the original description ( Kaye 1922) the date is erroneously given as “ 18.ix.15.” However the date is corrected to 18 April 1915 in Kaye & Lamont (1927). It is illustrated in colour in Pl. I: fig. 15 ( Kaye 1922, Kaye & Lamont 1927.)
